1. Mark a Field as Required
You can set a field as required to force users in your organization to enter/choose a value when creating or editing a record.
To Mark a Field as a Required Field (Ex: Status Detail of a Lead):
Log in to Cirrus Shield with your administrator profile.Click on your name, then select Setup.Go to the Object tab, and click on Details Lead.Click on the Custom Fields (On the top left).Search “Status Detail”, and click on Edit.Check the box “Required”Click Save.
2. Mark a Field as Unique
You can set a field as unique to forbid duplicate values. An email address can be considered as a unique field because two people can’t have the same email address. Other examples includes Passport Number, Product Code orIdentity card number as a unique field.
To mark a Field as Unique (Ex: Email):
Log in to Cirrus Shield with your administrator profile.Click on your name, then select Setup.Go to the Object tab, and click on Details Lead.Click on the Custom Fields (On the top left).Search “Email”, and click on Edit.Check the box “Unique”Click Save.
3. Mark a Field as an External ID
When importing data using the Data Manager or Data Wizard, you can use the values of the “External Id” field. The “External Id” field is a field that is used as the unique record identifier from an external system when importing data into the Cirrus Shield instance.
To define a field as an “External Id” field, you will need to check the “External Id” property found when creating/updating a field in the Cirrus Shield platform.
Let’s say that the Email in the User Object (Standard Object) will be the External Id, then your have to :
Log in to Cirrus Shield with your administrator profile.Click on your name, then select Setup.Go to the Object tab, and click on Details UserGo down, and click on edit Email for example.Check the box “External Id”Click Save.
Now, when you want to import data in the Cirrus Shield Instance, you must add a column in the excel file including the external id of the person to whom the record is assigned.
