Mark a Field as Required<\/h4>\n<p>You can set a field as required to force users in your organization to enter\/choose a value when creating or editing a record.<\/p>\n<p>To Mark a Field as a Required Field (Ex: Status Detail of a Lead):<\/p>\n<p>Log in to Cirrus Shield with your administrator profile.Click on your name, then select Setup.Go to the Object\u00a0tab, and click on Details\u00a0Lead.Click on the\u00a0Custom Fields\u00a0(On the top left).Search &#8220;Status Detail&#8221;, and click on Edit.Check\u00a0the box &#8220;Required&#8221;Click\u00a0Save.<\/p>\n<h4>2. Mark a Field as Unique<\/h4>\n<p>You can set a field as unique to forbid duplicate values. An email address can be considered as a unique field because two people can&#8217;t have the same email address. Other examples includes Passport Number, Product Code orIdentity card number as a unique field.<\/p>\n<p>To mark a Field as Unique (Ex: Email):<\/p>\n<p>Log in to Cirrus Shield with your administrator profile.Click on your name, then select Setup.Go to the Object\u00a0tab, and click on Details\u00a0Lead.Click on the\u00a0Custom Fields\u00a0(On the top left).Search &#8220;Email&#8221;, and click on Edit.Check\u00a0the box &#8220;Unique&#8221;Click\u00a0Save.<\/p>\n<h4>3. Mark a Field as an External ID<\/h4>\n<p>When importing data using the <a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/help.cirrus-shield.com\/docs\/admin-guide\/data-administration\/\">Data Manager or Data Wizard<\/a>, you can use\u00a0the values of the \u201cExternal Id\u201d field.
