Every standard or custom objects is made up of a set of standard fields. There are three types of standard fields :<\/p>\n

\n

1. Identity Field<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
\n

Cirrus Shield automatically assigns a unique identity field called Id to each record. You can find the ID of a record in its URL. An ID is as follows “1424650687467227984”<\/p>\n

\n

2. System Fields<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
\n

System fields are standard fields present in each object, you can change the name or the datatype of the standard field but you can’t delete it.<\/p>\n

System Fields include :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • CreatedById<\/strong>: The ID of the user who created the record.<\/li>\n
  • CreatedDate<\/strong>:\u00a0The date and time the record was created.<\/li>\n
  • ModificationDate:\u00a0<\/strong>The date and time of the last modification of a record by a user.<\/li>\n
  • ModifiedById:\u00a0<\/strong>The ID of the user who last modified the record.
    <\/strong><\/li>\n
  • OwnerId:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>The name of the user who created the record.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    3. Name Field<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
    \n

    The Name field of an object is a required field. The name value is always displayed as a link to the record itself. It allows you to see more information about a recording. It does not have to be unique, but it is the main information that allows users to differentiate records.<\/p>\n

    For example, the name of a lead will be his last name followed by the first name (John Gadner) and when we click on the name we will have a 360\u00b0 view of the lead.<\/p>\n

    \n

    To Edit Standard field (Ex: Lead):\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Log in to Cirrus Shield with your administrator profile<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Click on your name, then select Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. Go to the Object<\/b>\u00a0tab, and click on Details<\/strong>\u00a0Lead<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    4. Go down, and click on edit Name <\/strong>for example.<\/li>\n
    5. Replace the Label\u00a0<\/strong>by The prospect’s name<\/strong> for example.<\/li>\n
    6. Click on save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    7. If you want to change the\u00a0Data Type, <\/strong>click on the button “Change the Field Data Type”.<\/li>\n
    8. Choose<\/strong> another data type and click next.<\/li>\n
    9. Click on save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/section>\n
