Unlike Formula that calculate values using fields from a single record, roll-up summary<\/strong>\u00a0calculate values from several related records.<\/p>\n

You can count the number of records from a related object, calculate the sum or the average, display the minimum value, the maximum value, the first date or the last date of a field.<\/p>\n

To Create a Roll-up Summary Field<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Log in to Cirrus Shield with your administrator profile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Click on your name, then select Setup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Go to the Object<\/b>\u00a0tab, and click on Details<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Click on the\u00a0Custom Fields\u00a0<\/strong>(On the top left).<\/p>\n

5. Click on\u00a0New.\u00a0<\/strong>Select Roll-up field type, and click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. Select the object from the “Summarized Object<\/strong>” field. This object contains the records you want to summarize.<\/p>\n

7. Select the “Roll-up<\/strong>” type (See below).<\/p>\n

8. Enter your filter criteria<\/strong> if you want to calculate values from specific records.<\/p>\n

9. Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
